FIRST ALPACAGANZA WEEKEND EVENT. A HUGE SUCCESS.
The 2 day event at Flowerdale Estate on November 6th and 7th, 2004 was a huge success by almost every measure.
The Embryo Transfer seminar presented by Dr Jane Vaughan on the Saturday was very well attended and the feedback from participants was excellent with many suggesting they would be lining up to get involved in the near future.
The Five Star Dinner was magnificent. There were quite a few overseas visitors including four from Peru. Mr Francois Patthey, from Grupo Inca in Arequipa, gave a presentation on the activities of his group of companies as breeders, manufacturers and retailers of alpaca products. Mr Jose Berdejo entertained the dinner with his stories on the alpaca legends of Peru. Another highlight was the attendance of Mr Porfirio Diaz, champion breeder of the 2003 Arequipa show.
The auction resulted in sales of AUD$280,000 with an average price of $21,538. Click here for full details. |
